Reasons for VP Choices

I recently linked to Emerald City Scion's post on McCain's choice of Sarah Palin as his VP on the Republican ticket. Interestingly, there's a great article in The Nation by JoAnn Wypijewski entitled, "Beauty and the Beast."  

Setting aside the scary part about anti-semitism, the part about power, manipulation, and Sarah's long-term goals is interesting. 

I find it absolutely amazing that anyone with a brain would even consider voting for the Republicans.
